Recently, we took on an exciting project for a local company, HILUX Builds. Their name stands for "High Luxury Custom Builds," specialising in premium renovations, kitchen remodeling, and landscaping. When your brand name includes the words "High Luxury," your company vehicle needs to reflect that standard of excellence.
The client brought us their workhorse: a striking, bright orange BYD Shark ute.
The challenge was twofold. First, we needed a design that immediately communicated professionalism, trustworthiness, and a premium finish. Second, the design had to integrate seamlessly with the bold, existing orange paintwork of the truck. A clashing design would look cheap—the opposite of the client's goal.
We needed a concept that was striking yet subtle; commanding but refined.
To achieve the high-class look HILUX Builds required, our design team utilized a sophisticated material palette for this vehicle half-wrap.
We chose a satin black vinyl wrap for the rear canopy and utility body. Satin black is an incredible material for commercial branding; it offers a modern, stealthy aesthetic that grounds the vehicle and provides a premium feel that standard gloss black sometimes lacks. It also provided the perfect dark backdrop to let the original orange cabin pop.
To contrast the subtlety of the satin black base, we utilized golden printed graphics with a gloss finish.
The centerpiece of the design is a large, confident circle logo featuring the "HB" monogram. By using a high-gloss gold finish for the branding elements, text, and service list, we created a stunning textural contrast against the satin background. The gold perfectly complements the orange of the BYD Shark, tying the whole vehicle together into one cohesive, luxurious package.
As you can see from the photo, the final result is a stunning, high-class mobile showcase. The wrap clearly communicates the services offered—from renovations to project management—while the overall aesthetic speaks volumes about the quality of work HILUX Builds delivers.
It’s a head-turner on the streets of the South East and a fantastic example of how strategic color and texture choices in vinyl wraps can elevate a brand.
